While many people associate hypnosis with stage performances, it is actually a natural, everyday state that we all experience. Every time you watch a movie, listen to music, or even drive, your subconscious mind becomes active. This explains why a song can instantly transport you to a specific memory, why movies can stir powerful emotions, or why you sometimes experience "highway hypnosis" while driving. It's all a result of the subconscious mind's influence in these moments of focused attention.
Hypnotherapy is a transformative approach to behavior modification and personal growth, utilizing hypnosis and specialized techniques to facilitate change. In a state of focused awareness, hypnosis allows the mind to become highly receptive to positive suggestions. This heightened state of concentration enables profound shifts in the subconscious mind, making it possible to create lasting improvements and foster deep personal development.
The conscious mind is responsible for our logic, reasoning, decision-making, analysis, and willpower, accounting for roughly 10% of our total mental capacity. In contrast, the subconscious mind, which holds our emotions, habits, associations, and learned behaviors, makes up nearly 90% of our mental power. Many of the challenges we face arise from conflicts between these two parts of the mind, as the conscious and subconscious often have differing goals and influences.
Absolutely! Everyone has the ability to be hypnotized, as it’s a natural process we experience daily. Activities like watching movies, daydreaming, driving, or listening to music are all examples of hypnosis in action. Some people naturally enter a deep state of hypnosis, while others may experience a lighter, more relaxed state.
During hypnosis, you will be gently guided into a profound state of mental and physical relaxation. Your body will feel completely at ease while your mind enters a focused, heightened state of awareness. In this state, you will remain fully alert and aware, able to hear and respond to everything being said. You will also maintain complete control and have the ability to pause or end the process at any time.
The number of sessions required to see results can vary depending on the individual. However, many clients report experiencing noticeable positive changes after just one session. Typically, it takes between 3 to 6 sessions to establish a strong foundation in the subconscious for effectively addressing the issue at hand. While some clients prefer ongoing sessions, others find that a few sessions are sufficient. I also equip all my clients with self-hypnosis techniques, enabling them to continue harnessing the power of their subconscious mind, regardless of whether or not they are actively receiving sessions from me.
